Here are a few reasons why, if you're thinking of incorporating a deck into your next project, TimberTech's wood composite decking is the perfect choice:
- Our deck boards come with a 25-year warranty as standard for all residential installations (or a 10-year warranty for commercial installations).
- TimberTech composite decking is available in a range of colours and styles - we've got a board to suit every outdoor space!

- Composite decking is exceptionally low-maintenance; our boards require no sealing, staining or painting, a fact that we're certain your clients will appreciate!
- Many of our composite decking ranges are compatible with CONCEALoc®, a hidden fastener system that allows you to keep your client's deck free of unsightly visible fixings. Alternatively, we also offer colour-matched deck screws to keep fixing visibility to a minimum.
- Our composite decking lends itself to all kinds of amazing extra touches - we've seen garden designers seamlessly incorporate steps, benches, picture frames, planters, and many other features into the decks they've created using our boards.
TimberTech's composite decking was recently featured on ITV's Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, which we feel is a testament to the outstanding quality and beauty of our products. Order a free sample below, or get in touch to discuss your latest project with a member of the TimberTech team!

Here's one for the cat lovers in the audience! We recently supplied some Reliaboard Cedar composite decking to a customer named Jon, and this week, he sent over a few photos of the finished job for us to look at. We're pleased to report that Jon is very pleased with his new deck, and judging by these photos, so are his cats!
With its sturdy construction and its durable, slip-resistant surface, TimberTech composite decking is perfect for pet owners, and we love to see anyone - human or animal - relaxing on our beautiful composite boards!
And if you're not a cat person, here's a feline-free picture of Jon's new deck (which he installed himself, incidentally). We love how the living room opens directly onto the decking!

When it comes to choosing the right material for your outdoor deck you are inundated with different options. The decision-making process can be a little overwhelming: do I want PVC, plastic or composite decking? What are they and what is the difference between the three? This guide aims to answer all of your questions about PVC, plastic and composite decking, helping you find the right decking material for your project with ease.
The primary benefit of plastic decking is its low-maintenance nature. This synthetic decking option requires little to no looking after, and once it’s laid down your job is pretty much over. Having said this, plastic decking cannot provide the gorgeous natural look and feel of natural wooden decking and often comes in a limited shade range, so while you might be getting a low-maintenance decking choice you are likely compromising the aesthetic qualities of your garden too.
- Low maintenance option
- Not as aesthetically pleasing as wood/composite
- Water resistant but slippery in wet conditions
PVC decking is considered to be slightly more sophisticated than plastic decking (despite it coming under the plastic family). It is made entirely from polyvinyl chloride, an incredibly hard and strong plastic, so requires little to no maintenance after installation. PVC decking offers significant fade, stain and mould resistance and a number of varying colour options providing a more diverse choice than plastic decking, but still doesn't have the gorgeous wooden deck feel that most people prefer.
- Likely to be the most expensive option
- Artificial finish
- Water resistant but slippery in wet conditions
Composite decking is made partially from plastic but contains a blend of wood and polymer to imitate the gorgeous earthy tones of wood decking with the moisture resistance of plastic decking. As well as looking the part, composite decking is easy to maintain and is close to natural wood in the way it feels underfoot - providing excellent grip! It is an environmentally-friendly option, with its wood and plastic components often saved from landfill sites. Composite decking is often easier to work with and install than plastic decking because it behaves more like wooden decking.
- Easy to work with
- Excellent slip-resistance and moisture resistant
- Similar in appearance to wood decking
So when it comes to choosing your garden deck, it might seem like you’re inundated with choice, but really, there is only one answer: composite decking. If you’re still not entirely convinced then why not browse our composite decking range, order a sample and observe and feel the high-quality and aesthetically pleasing properties of TimberTech decking for yourself!
If your garden space is fairly small then you might worry about redecorating, feeling that your options are slightly limited. We’ve come across a number of people who had previously never considered decking due to their small outdoor space, but with TimberTech the options really are endless. Our composite decking can actually be fantastic for making your garden space seem significantly more spacious, and will add a polished and professional look to the exterior of your home, regardless of the space you’re working with!
TimberTech’s exquisite range of composite decking resists fading, weathering, rotting and warping, meaning it remains aesthetically perfect year after year. It is a non-slip and splinter-free surface which doesn’t require painting, staining or sealing! TimberTech’s garden decking is also backed with a 25-year residential warranty if our word isn’t quite enough!

We've always claimed to have the best composite decking, but supplying high-quality decking is only part of what we do! Where some composite decking companies will simply sell you a few packs of decking and leave you to get on with it, the TimberTech service goes much, much deeper. In addition to providing the deck boards, we're capable of making recommendations, creating unique designs, and even installation everything for you!
There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a decking project progress all the way from beginning to end. Customers call us on the telephone (and sometimes visit our decking showroom) to discuss the project they've got in mind and ask us if we can help. Sometimes, the plans will have already been drawn up and we'll just have to deliver the materials, but every so often we hear from somebody who want s the full TimberTech service.
And so the fun begins. The customer convenes with our in-house architect; they come up with a decking design - often something that really pushes the envelope - and establish which materials will be necessary to get the job done; we supply said materials, and sometimes, our deck installation team will head over to the site to make the design a reality!
If you're serious about getting the most from your outdoor living space, you need TimberTech's full package. Drop us a line today to discuss your project - we're sure to come up with some big ideas for you!
