Glass balustrade with handrail

Generally speaking, composite decking is designed to look like nice, natural wood. Our deck boards mimic the grain of hardwood timber very closely indeed, and this is great news for people who want a traditional look in their outdoor living space.

But what about the people who want a slightly sleeker, more contemporary style? Do we have anything to offer them? Well, yes, we do: our stainless steel glass balustrade system. Not only does this option give you a sturdy barrier around the perimeter of your garden deck, it will also bring its appearance right into the 21st century. The balustrade is made from marine-grade stainless steel and pristine toughened glass; these materials come together to create a fantastically smooth and modern look.

The real beauty of our balustrade lies with the glass panels; they don't block the light, so you'll still have a great view of your garden. The steel posts and handrail add a sleek, stylish edge, ensuring that everyone's eyes are on your great new deck.

Composite decking is the ultimate outdoor flooring, and we make it in some fabulous colours! One of the great things about wood composite decking is that it can be made into a wide selection of colours. This is great news for all you style-conscious home-owners, as it can really help you create a ‘wow-factor’! As you are dealing with Timbertech, you will be able to enjoy this awe-inspiring decking for years and years to come.

A unique feature on our dropdown menu allows you to search wood composite decking by colour – this gives you the opportunity to view some great images, and start visualising what would look best in your garden. We’d like to talk to you briefly about a couple of our colours, and why we think they would make a great asset to your outdoor space!

Cedar – This is perhaps one of the more popular shades of decking you’re likely to see, and it’s easy to see why! Cedar is an incredibly versatile colour that can lend itself to almost any residential or commercial property. With its soft, warm, and incredibly natural tone, it is hard to think of an environment that our cedar-wood couldn’t work in! If you opt for our edeck, the boards come with a brushed texture which really gives it that authentic wooden quality.

Grey – Our grey wood composite decking is a great modern alternative to more traditional wood-shades. You enjoy all the benefits of low maintenance decking, but in a bolder and more elegant shade that people won’t be used to. Our grey decking still has that beautiful textured look which mirrors real wood, along with providing your surface with a clean and distinct look. This decking oozes a certain contemporary-chic that will look its best against an ultra-modern building; though having said that, this shade is slate-grey after all, so would complement an older property too.

These are just our 2 main wood composite decking types, but of course we have several more to tempt you with! The main things you need to remember is we have a range of shades that will complement any property beautifully. Secondly – and perhaps most importantly – whichever shade of decking you opt for, you get the reassurance that it will require no maintenance, and last for decades to come!

If you’re considering purchasing decking, make sure it’s our low maintenance decking! It may not be the first thing you think about when buying flooring, but trust us, you’ll soon be glad you opted for low maintenance decking when it comes to your everyday allocation of time!

Our statement of ‘low maintenance decking, high quality of life’ may seem dramatic but we’re actually very assured of this. If you are browsing through various decking types, then it might not occur to you that 12 months down the line that you may have to spend a whole day or two of your free time maintaining this.

By maintaining we are referring to the regular varnishing and wood staining that is necessary for timber and softwood decking. What we also mean by maintaining is the replacement of broken or cracked deck that you’d find with plastic and PVC flooring. They don’t mention this on the brochures, and why would they! Decking out your outdoor area is a lifestyle choice, it’s you saying you want to spend more time in your wonderful little outdoor plot – you certainly do not want to spend those days when the weather is nice (and you have the free time) maintaining a deck you could be relaxing on instead.

We are forever telling our children to invest in their future and we think it’s about time we all did the same. Low maintenance decking leaves us more room to do the other things we love, so why buy anything else?

The best thing is with our composite decking, there is no compromise! You get all the benefits of having sumptuous flooring that looks as good as timber, with a 25 year guarantee! All you need concern yourself with is which colour will suit the rest of your house best.

Not only do we offer you the best garden decking available, but we also sell decking accessories to go with it. We provide the decking accessories to embellish your beautiful deck further, and turn it into your dream flooring. We’d like to briefly talk to you about a few of our products and how they surpass your average tat.

The first offering of decking accessories is our CONCEALoc hidden fasteners as pictured. The main advantage of having these fasteners is they allow the deck to be the first thing people see, and not the fittings! If you have chosen our VertiGrain and Earthwood grains then when installed these fasteners will be concealed safely allowing your decking to do the talking. They are coated brown to reduce their visibility, but are made from stainless steel to ensure strength.

Other decking accessories include our TOPloc composite decking screws. If your installer is wondering which screws would be best to fasten your new deck in then these are your answer. Not only do these TOPloc screws eradicate the ‘mushrooming’ effect caused by inferior screws, but you can also colour code them for an even more discreet finish.

If you’re planning on decking over a treacherous part of your garden perhaps you’d be interested in our Weedguard? In keeping with our theme of super-practical decking accessories, the Weedguard is a drainage-control fabric, as well as of course a weed suppressant. Don’t worry though, as water, nutrients, and air can pass through easily while keeping the nasty stuff out.

These are just a few of the decking accessories that we offer; if you’re interested in taking a few extra little steps to making your decking perfect, then we’d recommend you check them out.

Deck lights are one of our favourite ways to really maximise the look of your outdoor space, and of course of your decking! The best thing about our deck lights is the effect they create on the overall look of your garden – just look at how they beautifully bathe your decking in a fancy, fluorescent glow. We are sure a lot of you are aware of what well positioned spot lights can do for the interior of your home, and we hope to prove to you that they work just as well in your garden!

With up to 5 different deck lights colours to choose from you’re bound to find something to your taste. We have gone for classic and complementary colours such as white, blue, green, amber, and red; start picturing your outdoor area and what colours would best go where! The classic white deck light works especially well against all of our decking colours as it illuminates and entices at the same time.

The colour is not the only thing you can customise, you can also choose from a clear lens or a frosted one – this means you can enjoy brighter directional light, or the diffused light you get from a frosted lens. Whichever one you opt for we guarantee you will not regret your investment, and that you’ll look for new opportunities to enjoy your beautiful decking.

The deck lights themselves are also to a superior quality, they are actually made from marine grade 316 stainless steel which stands up to erosion and tarnishing brilliantly. Inside the casing the LEDs come from Japan and are designed not only to light, but to last! Even the LED fittings meet Timbertech’s high standard, they’re full encapsulated and so can be submerged in water, as well being IP67 rated too!

If you’re wondering about how you are going to power these beautiful lights, our system runs at 24v rather than 12v allowing you to run more lights up to 100m away from the main power source (most 12v systems would barely be able to manage anything over 25m). Timbertech have really excelled themselves in sourcing you a product of the highest calibre, and this pertains to every single component.

The last worthwhile point to inform you of is that these deck lights can be operated using a key fob with a simple on or off function. We particularly like this idea as you can keep the fob handy, and then when the sun sets you can remotely switch on your deck lights creating an impressive spectacle!

It would have probably been sufficient for us to have brought to you the finest composite decking and left it at that, but that’s not Timbertechs’s style! We went that extra length to find you the best deck lights to complement and accentuate your decking we could – now that’s a bright idea.
