TimberTech installation
Timbertech is easy to install with no special requirements. We recommend standard wood working tools and standard pressure treated softwood timbers for the sub frame.
When laying the deck boards keep the rib that runs down 1 edge of each board on the same side across the complete area. We recommend a pilot hole if the boards are face fixed.
Concealoc hidden fastener clips simply screw into the timber joists and then push fit into the grooves running down the sides of each board. The lead and tail edge of the deck must be face fixed but the expanse of decking has a fastener free surface.
Boards should be spaced with 3mm gaps and maximum spacing for joists is 500mm centre on centre for the most popular Twinfinish boards on residential decks and 400mm for commercial decks.
Floorizon boards are fixed through the groove of each board giving a fastener free surface. They span a maximum 600mm centre on centre for residential decks and 400mm for commercial decks.
