I just wanted to thank you for all your help over the past few weeks. I think decking is a really attractive solution to outside living space, but was not excited by the prospect of the inevitable maintenance that results from using conventional treated softwood products, not to mention the ‘skating rink’ effect when it has been around a while and gets wet! It was a tough decision to rip out all our existing decking and replace it with TimberTech composite decking as part of a larger programme of garden improvements, but now it is completed, I know it was definitely the right solution. The colour of the existing decking, although only 2 years old was fading fast and inadequate installation had meant that water retention created a highly slippery surface. The TimberTech composite decking has given a whole new feel to the garden with its graceful curves and a pleasing colour finish which harmonises with our brickwork. The installation was excellent and my wife and I are really pleased with the impact of the new material, which improves our garden, dramatically reduces future maintenance as well as undoubtedly adding value to the whole property.

Having had to replace my softwood balcony twice in the past ten years due to twisting, shrinking and discolouration, I decided to upgrade to an alternative material. My past experience with Timber Technology also made me keen to add ‘slip-resistance’ and ‘low maintenance’ to my criteria.
